Junior Accountant/Receptionist (One-Year Term)

Cardel Homes is proud to be building various Ottawa communities including: Blackstone in Kanata, Richardson Ridge in Kanata, Longfields in Barrhaven and Miller’s Crossing in Carleton Place.

As a Junior Accountant/Receptionist, in this one-year term, you will be responsible for all payables invoices including functions such as sorting, submitting invoices for approval, entering invoices into the system, printing cheques and/or releasing EFT payments, processing quick pays, filing, reconciling accounts and responding to vendor inquiries. In addition, you will manage all GST/HST returns, complete monthly bank reconciliations, manage monthly cost to complete calculations, assist the Controller with reporting documents, and reconcile intercompany transactions and customer lot deposits while also providing reception and general administrative services.

For this position we are looking for an individual with 1-3 years’ relevant experience and/or education, advanced data entry and computer skills (MS Office, Sage 300/ACCPAC), strong attention to detail, a high level of customer service, and a professional and courteous demeanor. Experience with Sage 300/ACCPAC or project-based accounting is a huge asset.
