Site Superintendent – Multi-Family Construction

As a Site Superintendent for our multi-family product line, you will be responsible for planning and directing all construction activities on site from start to move-in. Specifically, your responsibilities will include: Implementing and monitoring the construction schedule, managing subcontractors (i.e. scheduling, quality control and approval of work), managing materials (scheduling and checking deliveries, correcting take-offs and insuring proper installation), implementing and maintaining on-site safety protocols, ensuring customer upgrades are correctly completed, scheduling required inspections, supervising and mentoring site personnel, processing changes received from the office or consulting team, monitoring job site cleanliness, providing project reporting (i.e. site progress, events, inspections, etc.), completing pre- possessional and possessional walk-throughs and monitoring job costs.

You will have 5+ years of residential construction management experience. In addition, you must have solid knowledge of residential multi-family construction processes, building materials, codes and technologies, plus solid communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational abilities. Comprehensive concrete knowledge and underground parkade experience is also required. Current first-aid, WHMIS and construction safety courses will be considered an asset. Short-listed candidates will be required to provide a drivers’ abstract and criminal record check.

Estimator

As an Estimator, you will use your diploma in Architectural Technologies, or equivalent, and your industry-related experience to support our Estimating team. You will be responsible for building base models and options within the database and other functions which may include preparation of material and labor take-offs, purchase order issuance, custom price requests, variance analysis, vendor pricing and assisting with paperwork and administration for tendering sub-trade contracts and other production related functions.

You must have solid knowledge of the residential construction processes, building materials, codes and technologies, as well as solid communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational abilities. Working proficiency with construction/estimating software such as Sales Simplicity, Timberline and Builder MT is also preferred. BCIN qualifications are an asset.
