Sales Agent – Multi-Family

Cardel Ottawa is currently looking for an experienced multi-family Sales Agent to support our Kol condos in Blackstone and our Keel executive condos at Carling. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, your responsibilities will include: lead generation and lead management, client and prospect engagement, new home sales, sales contract administration, and ongoing customer service. As a Sales Agent, you will be assigned to a primary community or product line but may also be required to support, and work from, any Cardel community at any time.

You will bring to this role experience in the new home industry, strong business acumen, excellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skills and a professional appearance. You will be personable, customer service oriented, innovative, have exceptional sales skills and an advanced level of computer and technical literacy. Post-secondary education and bilingualism are an asset. You must be available to work Monday thru Friday (subject to days off) from 12:00pm to 7:00pm and weekends from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. In the capacity of Sales Agent, there may be times where you are required to work outside these hours and at other locations to ensure success. Short-listed candidates will be required to provide a drivers’ abstract and a criminal record check.

Production Artist

Cardel Homes is on the hunt for a seasoned Production Artist who can skillfully reproduce our senior creatives’ visions across a wide range of print media. You’ll need a strong production background, unwavering attention to detail, rock-solid InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills, and be able to take direction well. This is not an art director position, but from time to time we’ll need you to take a blank page and run with it. Got what it takes?

This is a full-time position, located in our Ottawa office, best suited for someone who’s hung around an agency water cooler for a few years and knows the game. Let’s call it intermediate to senior.

Controller

As Controller in our Ottawa region you will report to the CFO and lead a team of support staff. You will be responsible for: preparing accurate and timely financial statements and working papers; preparing internal and external reporting packages; preparing projections and forecasting for inventory, cash flow and land; ensuring efficient and effective internal controls are in place for accounting & finance processes; overseeing the accurate payment of all trades & suppliers; liaising with the management group, auditors, lawyers, bankers, CRA and homeowners as needed; and managing the Ottawa accounting team.

To be successful in this position you will have: a CPA-CA designation with a minimum of 4-5 years public practice work experience with private industry clients (experience in land development or homebuilding is also preferred); 2-4 years private industry experience in a management role; an undergraduate degree in business; well-developed analytical and problem solving skills; solid business acumen; unquestionable discretion for confidential and sensitive information; advanced MS Excel knowledge; as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
