Junior Estimator, New Residential Construction

This is the perfect position for a new graduate entering the workforce with a Diploma in Construction Technology or Construction Management. As a Junior Estimator, you will be mentored by experienced Drafting and Estimating Managers, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate purchase orders for all floor plans, elevations and options.
  • Assembling and maintaining accurate material and labor estimates.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of options price lists for Sales and Design teams.
  • Providing support for all trade management activities.
  • Processing approved change orders in production.
  • Participating in the coordination of materials required by our trade partners for permitting applications

You will have the opportunity to put your knowledge of residential construction processes, building materials, codes and technologies to use while getting hands-on experience using Builder MT Workflow Management System software.

  • Assembling architectural review applications and supporting documentation.
  • Production of new community exhibits for Land and Marketing departments.
  • Requesting, reviewing and submitting documents for permit applications.
  • Participating in plan design and new community planning activities to meet business plan goals.
  • Daily production of all necessary documents to support sales, design and construction activities.

This position requires the use of multiple industry-standard software platforms, from Sales, Estimating and Drafting. You will have the opportunity to put your education and experience in new residential construction to use while getting hands-on experience using Power CAD, Revit LT, Builder MT Workflow Management System, as well as participating in the use of Sage Accounting software.

Project Manager

As a Project Manager for our Laureate Park project in Lake Nona – Orlando area, you will report to the VP of Construction and work with an overall team consisting of other Project Managers, Warranty Technicians, Laborers and our Operations and Warranty Coordinators.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and supervising subcontractors and suppliers
  • Maintaining master construction schedule and ensuring timelines are met
  • Conducting regular inspections and ensuring quality control
  • Overseeing overall site for cleanliness and safety
  • Liaising with homeowners and attending walk-thru meetings
  • Managing site costs and material efficiency

You will have previous experience in residential construction or renovations, with extensive knowledge of the Florida Building Code, residential construction process and building materials. You will also be an independent self-starter, possess strong customer service and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will be required to provide your own vehicle. The successful candidate will be required to provide a driving record as well as pass a drug screening and criminal record check.

Warranty/Customer Service Technician

  • conducting visual inspections of warranty issues.
  • performing hands-on repairs.
  • scheduling additional services with subcontractors.
  • performing Quality Control inspections at various stages of construction.

You will have previous experience in residential construction or renovations, with extensive knowledge of the Florida Building Code and builder provided 3rd party warranties.
