Warranty Technician

As a Warranty Technician, you will report to the Warranty Manager and work with a team consisting of other Technicians, Site Supervisors, Finishing Foremen/women, Handymen/women, Labourers and Coordinators.

You will be responsible for addressing pre-occupancy and post-possession homeowner concerns, conducting visual inspections of warranty issues, performing hands-on repairs and scheduling additional services with sub-trades.

You will have previous experience in residential construction or renovations, with extensive knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Tarion and Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. You will also be an independent self-starter, possess strong customer service and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will be required to provide your own tools. The successful candidate will be required to provide a driver’s abstract and criminal record check.

Site Supervisor

As a Site Supervisor, you will report to the construction manager and work with an overall team consisting of other Site Supervisors, Handymen/women, Warranty Technicians, Labourers and PDI and Warranty Coordinators.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Scheduling and supervising subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining master construction schedule and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Conducting regular inspections and ensuring quality control.
  • Overseeing overall site for cleanliness and safety.
  • Liaising with homeowners and attending walk-thru meetings.
  • Managing site costs and material efficiency.
  • Ensuring health and safety on site.

You will have previous experience in residential construction, with extensive knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, residential construction process, building materials and new home warranty requirements. You will also be an independent self-starter, possess strong customer service and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is a physically demanding position that will require you to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. The successful candidate will be required to provide a driving record and criminal record check and his/her/their own reliable mode of transportation.

Accounts Payable Clerk/Receptionist

In this dual role, you will provide front-desk reception duties such as greeting clients, answering phones, accepting couriers, opening and distributing mail and other administrative functions. In addition, you will be responsible for accounts payable functions such as sorting, submitting invoices for approval, entering invoices into the system, printing cheques and/or releasing EFT payments, processing quick pays, filing, reconciling accounts and responding to vendor inquiries.

You will bring to this position a post-secondary accounting diploma or degree and one to three years of relevant experience. You will have advanced data entry and computer skills (MS Office, Sage 300/ACCPAC), strong attention to detail, a high level of customer service, and a professional and courteous demeanor.
